HOW LONG SHOULD WE ENDURE ?

Anything that you endure? pain? poverty? wealth? crazy world? Name it. At certain points in our life we needed to endure. Wherever did I read "God please give me patience, Now." ...Great...

Even I am asking myself, how long should I endure chasing that elusive dream of earning unlimited income streams? When would I endure wanting to drive my own Ferarri, I never had. Or until when will I endure the want of living in my own acquired dream house and lot?

Material possessions? Sometimes we endure want of them, without realising we actually have better, far greater than we thought, far grandeur than we can imagine. I think back of the times where my ancestors would say, "Let's give this vast land to the government because they don't have any." Today the government own every land, and ancestral claims or domain seemed non=existent. How long should we endure?

"Preserve me. O God:for in thee do I put my trust." psalms 16:1

"The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. the lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. I will bless the LORD, who has given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the right seasons. I have set the LORD alway before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thou Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life. In thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."
psalms 16:5-11

The Virtue of Patience

Take a deep breath in... hold your breath ... count one to ten,
then slowly breath out. You just exercise your obedience, patience, and just experience the relief of it.

Patience is the ability to hold on. In anything that you need to hold on to. One of the discussions posted in the net that I responded to stated that he was put on hold for more than an hour on the phone. Would you have that patience enough to stay on hold for that long?

In to days life of instant everything, we simply forget one virtue, Patience. Let me quote this to you: "Behold we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; That the Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy." .

Sounds familiar? or haven't got the time to familiarize your selves in one book called the Bible. Did you ever see that is is written "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."

"Now we exhort you, brethren. warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble minded, support the weak, be patient toward all men." <1 Thessalonians 5:14>

"And let us not be weary in all doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." .

Your patience in reading this far made you realize some basics of the virtue of patience. I pray that these words be as seeds planted in your hearts for you to keep and share and grow fruits of the virtue.
